APC South-West secretary hails Oyebanji over Abuja court victory

South-West secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alfred Aluko, has congratulated the governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, following his victory at the judgment delivered in Abuja which reaffirmed him as the party’s candidate for 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.
Describing the outcome as a well-deserved triumph, Hon. Aluko noted that the judgment reaffirmed the mandate freely given to Governor Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State.
He emphasised that the victory was not only personal to the governor, but a collective success for all citizens of the state who believed in continuity, good governance, and sustainable development.
According to him, the ruling further strengthened democracy and reflected the will of the people, while also paving the way for the governor to remain focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the grassroots.
He commended the judiciary for upholding justice and ensuring fairness in the electoral process.
Hon. Aluko also used the opportunity to call on “all residents and stakeholders in Ekiti State, regardless of political affiliations,” to rally behind Governor Oyebanji.
He stressed the importance of unity, peace, and cooperation in moving the state forward and achieving meaningful progress.
He concluded by urging the people to continue supporting the administration’s policies and programmes, expressing confidence that Governor Oyebanji would continue to work tirelessly for the growth, stability, and prosperity of Ekiti State.
