Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has held a closed-door meeting with the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
‎‎Although official details of the meeting have not been made public, the private nature of the engagement has sparked political interest.
‎The meetings between the high-profile political figures took place under heavy security presence.
‎‎In recent months, Kwankwaso has remained active in national political consultations, following the 2023 elections, while Makinde has continued to maintain significant influence within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
‎The meeting came amid ongoing consultations and strategic alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections and political calculations.
‎‎While the specific agenda remains undisclosed, political observers suggested that the talks might not have been connected to broader issues of coalition-building and future electoral strategies.
