Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general elections, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has held a closed-door meeting with the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
Although official details of the meeting have not been made public, the private nature of the engagement has sparked political interest.
The meetings between the high-profile political figures took place under heavy security presence.
In recent months, Kwankwaso has remained active in national political consultations, following the 2023 elections, while Makinde has continued to maintain significant influence within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The meeting came amid ongoing consultations and strategic alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections and political calculations.
While the specific agenda remains undisclosed, political observers suggested that the talks might not have been connected to broader issues of coalition-building and future electoral strategies.
