“It is unprecedented in the history of Ibadanland and Oyo State to have the like of Oba Ladoja as Olubadan of Ibadanland and the chairman of Oyo State Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs, considering his antecedents.”

Olugbemiga said the congratulatory messages came from “Olubadan Palace staff, all sons and daughters of Ibadanland within and in the diaspora, residents of Ibadanland, traditional title holders in Ibadanland and even outside Oyo State.”

Oba Ladoja was advised not to relent in his efforts to foster unity among Yoruba Obas as well as traditional rulers in the country, and that he should continue to preach peaceful co-existence, religious harmony and the progress of the country as a whole.

“Those who sent the congratulatory messages expressed their gratitude to the governor of Oyo State for painstakingly taking due process before the appointment of Oba Ladoja as the current chairman of Oyo State Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs.
