The Leader, Ondo State House of Assembly and member representing Ose state constituency, Chief Olatunji Oshati (Maxima), on Wednesday, received the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form for the Ose state constituency contest.

With this development, Honourable Oshati is positioned as the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard-bearer for the party in the House of Assembly election.

Oshati, in a statement by his media aide, Ade Akingbade, on Wednesday, said he appreciated “the leader of the party in the state, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his strong and uncompromising leadership.”

He describes the governor as a man committed to peace and ready to reward loyalty to the party.

“Maxima is also full of appreciation to leaders of the party at the local, state, and national levels for doing justice to the voice of the people.

“He emphasised that the mandate freely given to him at the primary election organised by the party and monitored by the umpire, INEC, was an overwhelming one.

“He thanked the party faithful in Ose for always standing by him, assuring that he would not let them down.

“Oshati extended the olive branch to his co-contestant and those who were aggrieved with the outcome of the primary elections in other party positions.

“He called for fence-mending, in order to achieve a decisive win for all the party’s candidates in the 2027 election cycle.

“He emphasised that the contest was one between brothers that should be seen as no victor, no vanquished and advised supporters to be magnanimous in victory, stressing that the bigger challenge still lay ahead.

“He concluded that his emergence was a re-newed commitment to redoubling his efforts to continue to serve the people of Ose by sharing prosperity, providing effective leadership, and engendering virile representation.”
