As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, Alhaji Kehinde Isiaq Olaosebikan, the AgbaAkin Adeen of Oluyole and a leading aspirant to the House of Representatives, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Oluyole, Oyo State, and across Nigeria, urging renewed commitment to national unity and sustained support for ongoing reforms.

In a message marking the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr, Olaosebikan described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual rebirth, moral discipline, and communal reflection a time that reinforces the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unwavering faith in God and country.

He noted that this year’s observance holds deeper significance as it aligns closely with the Christian season of Lent, describing the convergence as a powerful reminder of Nigeria’s shared spiritual heritage. According to him, both seasons embody the same universal principles of self-denial, humility, and service to humanity, values that must now be translated into collective national action.

“Beyond the rituals of fasting and prayer, Ramadan teaches endurance, empathy, and responsibility,” he stated, adding that “these are the same virtues we must apply as citizens in building a nation that works for all.”

Olaosebikan emphasised that Nigeria stands at a critical juncture in its development journey, where patience, sacrifice, and unity are essential ingredients for sustainable progress.

Drawing a parallel between the discipline of fasting and the demands of governance, he called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and supportive of policies aimed at long-term stability and economic transformation.

Referencing the reform-driven direction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he urged citizens to see beyond temporary challenges and embrace the broader vision of national renewal. He noted that meaningful change often requires difficult decisions, but with collective understanding and support, such reforms can yield lasting benefits for future generations.

“As a people, we must recognise that nation-building is a shared responsibility.

“The same patience we demonstrate in fasting, the same faith we hold in prayer, must reflect in how we support efforts to reposition our country for growth and prosperity,” he said.

The Oluyole federal lawmaker hopeful further called for strengthened unity across religious and ethnic lines, stressing that Nigeria’s diversity remained its greatest strength when guided by tolerance and mutual respect.

He urged both Muslims and Christians to sustain the spirit of harmony fostered during Ramadan and Lent, extending kindness to the less privileged and promoting peaceful coexistence within their communities.

He also encouraged increased civic participation, particularly at the grassroots level, noting that democratic progress depends not only on leadership but on the active involvement of the people.

According to him, the future of Oluyole and Nigeria at large would be shaped by citizens who were informed, engaged, and committed to positive change.

“To the good people of Oluyole, this season is not only a time of celebration but also a time of reflection on our collective future.

“We must continue to build bridges, strengthen our communities, and support initiatives that will bring development closer to our people,” he said.

Olaosebikan concluded by praying for continued peace, stability, and prosperity for Nigeria, expressing optimism that the lessons of Ramadan would inspire a renewed sense of purpose among citizens.

“May Almighty Allah accept our fasts, forgive our shortcomings, and bless our land with unity and progress. May this season mark the beginning of greater harmony, deeper understanding, and a stronger commitment to the ideals that bind us together as one nation. Eid Mubarak,” he prayed.
