The Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1), has congratulated Muslim faithful all over the world on the celebration of 2026 Eid-el-Fitr.

His congratulatory message was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, on Wednesday.

“I join Muslims globally to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr for this year and thank Almighty Allah for sparing our Iives to see the end of the 30-day fasting period.

“I admonish Muslims not to forget the lessons learned during the Ramadan lectures particularly on abstinence from sins, repentance, forgiveness, seeking the face of Allah always, sharing the goodies of life with all and sundry, particularly the less privileged,” the paramount ruler said.

He added that: “At present, Nigeria as a nation is faced with mirage of challenges, ranging from insecurity, poverty, hunger to anger and economic hardship that need our fervent prayers to direct our leaders to take our nation to greater heights.

“Celebration of Eid-el-Fitr is not only about winning and dining, but also to reflect on the service to Allah and humanity, especially promotion of religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence.”

Recall that the Ramadan fasting period started last month with activities which included Ramadan lectures, prayers, distribution of gifts, visits to less privileged homes, among others.
