2027: Sarafa-Yusuf confident of winning APC ticket

A journalist and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Modele Sarafa-Yusuf, has expanded her vision on becoming the first female elected governor in the state, come 2027.
Sarafa-Yusuf, while speaking during a televised interview on Wednesday, stressed that her bid was rooted in capacity and competence, rather than mere symbolism.
The governorship aspirant stated that she was not afraid of other candidates in the party vying for same position, as she was convinced of clinching the sole gubernatorial ticket for the 2027 poll.
Recall that Sarafa-Yusuf had made her declaration via an open etter to party leaders and stakeholders on February 26, 2026, stating that her aspiration was driven by the need to manage growth, equity and continuity in Ogun State.
She also noted that the state ought not to merely expand, but also “develop inclusively.”
